The Knoxville Rowing Association is a private, not-for-profit organization that exists to advance the sport of rowing in Knoxville TN, and the Tennessee River Valley. Through instruction and the promotion of the health, welfare, and long-term development of its members, the Knoxville Rowing Association seeks to bring athletes of all backgrounds and levels of experience to the sport of rowing.

Membership is open to men and women ages 21 and up for both recreational and competitive rowing. We welcome all levels of fitness and you don’t need rowing experience – we just require that you know how to swim. Also, we are eager to welcome back people who may have rowed in the past, and want to give it a try again!

2017 Rowing and Immersion Weekend Dates

April 10th, 2017

Spring is in the air! We have had some great days to row in April and May so far, and are putting out the word to all the “rusty rowers” out there to come join us.

The Knoxville Rowing Association is also gearing up now for Spring 2017 rowing lessons. The Immersion Weekend consists of an intro on rowing machines Friday evening, followed by on-water sessions Saturday and Sunday. This qualifies enrollees to participate in our regular rows with the rest of the club.

The Immersion Weekends will be held this weekend, June 16-18, and June 23-25. Registration for these two classes is closed.

We look forward to meeting our new students and introducing them to the sport of rowing on our little slice of heaven called the Tennessee River!
